White Card - CPCCWHS1001 - Prepare to work safely in the construction industry

 

 

 

  • Due to WHS legislative changes that have come into effect July 2019, Queensland residents can no longer complete an Online White Card course. Queensland residents wishing to in the construction industry must obtain a White Card and attend face to face courses.

National Recognised Training Course:

Course Overview:

  • Duration - 4 hours
  • Date and Times - Monday to Saturday and times as per the upcoming dates - Book Now
  • Course Fees - $79
  • Theory and practical training including assessment
  • Successful completion of the training & assessment, applicants will be issued with a Statement of Attainment (SOA) and Queensland WH&S Construction Induction Card (White Card) on the same day  at the end of the course.
  • Address - Unit 5, 22 North Road Wynnum West

What to bring:

    • ID - Australian Driver's Licence, Passport, Travel Visa, Medicare Card, Adult Proof of Age card
    • Suitable clothing (PP&E if available) and closed in shoes

Course outline

This unit of competency specifies the mandatory work health and safety training required prior to undertaking construction work. The unit requires the person to demonstrate personal awareness and knowledge of health and safety legislative requirements in order to work safely and prevent injury or harm to self and others. It covers identifying and orally reporting common construction hazards, understanding basic risk control measures, and identifying procedures for responding to potential incidents and emergencies. It also covers correctly selecting and fitting common personal protective equipment (PPE) used for construction work.

  • Identify health and safety legislative requirements of construction work
  • Identify construction hazards and risk control measures
  • Identify health and safety communication and reporting processes
  • Identify incident and emergency response procedures
  • All workers on a construction site in Australia must hold a White Card
  • QLD White Card is recognised in all states and territories of Australia.
