MC Truck Licence

MC - Multi Combination Truck Licence:

An MC licence is required in QLD to drive the following kinds of vehicles

• A B-double (prime mover towing 2 semitrailers, with 1 semitrailer supported at the front and connected to the other semitrailer)
• A road train (motor vehicle, other than a B-double, towing 2 or more trailers)

Eligibility:

• To upgrade to MC you must have held your HR or HC licence for a period of 12 months

Course Description :

MC driver training covers the skills and knowledge required to drive a multi-combination vehicle safely, including-

• systematic and efficient control of all vehicle functions
• coupling and uncoupling of trailers
• monitoring of traffic and road conditions
• management of vehicle condition and performance, and
• effective management of hazardous situations

Course Structure:

• Theory training and assessment sessions (individual or small groups)
• Practical training (one on one with driver trainer)
• Practical assessment (one on one with driver trainer assessor) according to TMR QLD Final Competency Assessment (FCA)
• Training at Hemmant location only

Outcome:

• After a successful competency assessment you will receive a Statement of Attainment (SOA) issued by Queensland Transport and Logistics Training Pty Ltd (QTLT) NVR RTO 40931
• Unit of competency TLIC4006 Drive multi-combination vehicle
• You will need to present your SOA to TMR QLD to have MC class endorsed on your licence
