HR Truck Licence

 

HR - Heavy Rigid Truck Licence:

Drive a truck or bus (including a prime mover or a mobile crane) over 8.0 ton GVM with 3 or more axles or an articulated bus (a bus that can bend in the middle). Note: You may also tow a trailer with maximum weight of 9t GVM.

Eligibility:

To upgrade to HR you must have held your car licence for a period of 24 months (min. 2 year Green Plates), and complete the Heavy Vehicle theory test with Qld Transport which can be done on the day of your practical driving test.

3 types of HR Licences:

• Heavy Rigid Open - Condition A (HRA): Automatic gearboxes only.

• Heavy Rigid Open - Condition B (HRB): Syncromesh (single clutch like a manual car) and automatic gearboxes only.
• Heavy Rigid Open - Non Restricted: Non Syncromesh (Double Clutch per gear change - Road Ranger/Crash Box) - from Wynnum location only

Course Locations:

• Northside - Zillmere, Redcliffe, Strathpine & Caboolture
• Southside - Wynnum, Cleveland & Logan

Course Fees:

Licence in a Day (Condition A or B) -

This Month SPECIAL - $995

• 4 hours driver training in test area prior to driving test
• 1 hour practical driving test with Qld Transport
• Course includes Qld Transport Booking Fee
• No extra cost for insurance

2 Day Express Course (Non Restricted Double Clutch) -

This Month SPECIAL - $1450

• Non Syncho mesh (Road Ranger or Crashbox)
• 8 hours driver training prior to driving test
• 1 hour practical driving test with Qld Transport
• Course includes Qld Transport Booking Fee
• Wynnum location only

Lessons by the hour -

This Month SPECIAL - $150

• Minimum 2 or more hour lessons at a time
• Lessons available 6 days a week from 6:00am to 6:00pm
