Course Description

This Australian Recognised Unit of Competency involves the skills and knowledge required (accredited) to identify, apply and follow chain of responsibility legislation, regulations and workplace procedures in relation to heavy vehicles as they apply to an individual’s own job role. It includes explaining the chain of responsibility features, applying the requirements, and identifying and reporting breaches in the Heavy Vehicle National Law (HVNL) and regulations or applicable state/territory law and regulations.

What is Required?

  • You must have a current Australian drivers licence to register for this course.
  •  
  • You will also need a computer (desktop, tablet, smart phone or similar) with online web-cam capability and good internet connection to undertake this course online. A printer/scanner will also be required.
  •  
  • Do NOT use Microsoft Edge browser
  •  
  • You must have Windows seven or later installed, only use Chrome or Firefox as your Browser, or safari if using an IPAD.
  •  
  • Ensure that any firewall permissions/restrictions have been adjusted/given to ensure that your webcam and microphone are working.
  •  
  • All uploaded files will need to be in either .jpeg / .jpg / .png / .pdf / .docx format

  • This is a self-paced, self-managed course. There is NO face-to-face or scheduled teaching sessions.

  • Upon completion, please allow up to 3 business days for the Trainer/Assessor to review and provide feedback. Please regularly log-in to the online portal to check for assessor feedback

  • Statement of Attainment will be emailed within 3 business days upon successful completion
