Get four warehouse tickets. One week. One price.

Most warehouse jobs in Brisbane list the same three or four requirements, and most applicants only hold one of them. This package closes that gap in a single week.

You will complete your forklift licence, your order picking licence, high reach forklift training and your construction White Card, all at our Hemmant training facility with the same team, on dates we book in for you when you purchase.

Bought separately, these four courses total $1,059. As a package, $795. You save $264 and you walk out with the combination of tickets that warehouse, logistics and distribution employers across South East Queensland are actually asking for.

What’s Included

Forklift Licence (TLILIC0003)

2 to 3 days | Theory, practical and WHS assessment

The counterbalance forklift licence is the foundation ticket for warehouse work, and the one that appears in almost every warehouse job ad in Brisbane. You train on late model electric counterweight forklifts, not tired equipment that handles nothing like what you will drive on the job.

The course covers the legislation and Australian Standards that apply to forklift operation, risk management and planning your work, routine pre-start checks, shifting loads safely, and shutting down and securing the machine. Assessment is both theory and practical.

On successful completion you receive a Statement of Attainment issued by Queensland Transport and Logistics Training Pty Ltd (QTLT, RTO 40931) and a High Risk Work candidate assessment summary. You then apply and pay for your HRW licence through Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.

You must be 18 or over and able to speak, read and write English. A short literacy and numeracy check applies. This course does not cover reach stackers or container cranes.

Note: if you do not pass your assessment first go, you come back and are reassessed at no charge. We do not think you should pay twice to learn something properly.

Order Picking Licence (TLILIC0004)

2 to 3 days | Theory, practical and WHS assessment

The order picker is the machine that raises the operator with the load, used for picking stock from height in racked warehouses. It is a separate high risk work licence class from the counterbalance forklift, and holding both is what separates a candidate who can work anywhere in a warehouse from one who is limited to the floor.

Training is delivered on Crown order picking forklifts. The course covers the legislation and standards for order picker operation, risk management and work planning, routine machine checks, and safe load handling from height through to shutdown and securing.

Assessment is theory and practical. On successful completion you receive a Statement of Attainment from QTLT (RTO 40931) and a High Risk Work candidate assessment summary to lodge with Workplace Health and Safety Queensland.

Same age, language and reassessment conditions apply as for the forklift licence.

High Reach Forklift Training

2 hours minimum | Practical training and Verification of Competency

High reach forklifts operate in narrow aisles and lift to the top of tall racking. Distribution centres and third party logistics operators use them constantly, and it is a common line item in warehouse job ads.

This component is non-accredited training. It is not a separate high risk work licence class, and it does not appear as a unit of competency. What you receive is a Verification of Competency, which is the document employers ask for when they want evidence you have been trained on the machine before they let you near their racking. Plenty of warehouse supervisors will accept a VOC as sufficient to put you on a high reach.

Training is delivered on Crown high reach electric forklifts and covers the applicable legislation and standards, risk management and work planning, routine checks, and safe load handling, shutdown and securing.

Normally this training requires you to already hold a current forklift HRW licence. As part of this package, we sequence it after your forklift assessment so you can complete it in the same block.

Does not cover reach stackers or container cranes.

White Card (CPCWHS1001)

1 day, 6 hours | Card issued same day

Every worker on a construction site in Australia must hold a White Card. For warehouse workers this matters more than people expect, because a large share of warehousing and logistics work sits on or beside construction sites, in depots servicing them, or with labour hire firms that will not put you on their books without one.

The course covers work health and safety legislative requirements for construction work, identifying hazards and risk control measures, safety communication and reporting, incident and emergency response, and correct selection and fitting of personal protective equipment.

You leave at the end of the day with a Statement of Attainment from QTLT (RTO 40931) and a Queensland Workplace Health and Safety Construction Induction Card in hand. No waiting for it in the post. A Queensland White Card is recognised in every state and territory in Australia.

Why do this package

Why take the package instead of one course at a time The honest answer is that one ticket rarely gets you hired. Employers shortlist on the number of machines you can legally operate from day one, and this package is built around the four things Brisbane warehouse employers ask for most often.

You save $264

Bought individually at current prices these four courses total $1,059. The package is $795. The forklift and order picker combination alone is $700, so you are adding White Card and high reach training for under $100.

You become the candidate who needs no training

A warehouse hiring a picker who holds only a forklift ticket has to roster around what that person cannot do. Someone with counterbalance, order picker, high reach and a White Card can be put anywhere on the floor on day one. That is the difference between being on a shortlist and being on the roster.

It’s one week, not one month

Booked separately, four courses across four different schedules can stretch out for weeks. We sequence the whole package into one block and book the dates for you when you purchase.

It opens more than warehousing

The forklift and order picker licences cover warehousing, distribution and logistics. The White Card opens construction sites, civil work, labour hire and the site-based jobs across South East Queensland that are only going to grow as the 2032 infrastructure pipeline ramps up. You are not locking yourself into one industry.

Real machines, real trainers

Late model electric counterbalance, Crown order picking and Crown high reach forklifts, at a purpose-built Hemmant facility with a workshop and in-house mechanic. Our trainers have worked in the industries they train for.

You’re not paying twice if it takes two goes

If you do not pass an assessment on the first attempt you come back and are reassessed at no charge. A lot of providers do not do that.

We run the courses

We do not cancel courses because the numbers are light, except where the state safe work regulator requires it. If you have booked, you are training.

Who this package suits

  • Getting into warehousing for the first time. No tickets, no warehouse experience, wanting to be employable inside a week rather than in six months.
  • Already working, wanting more hours. You hold a forklift ticket and get sent home when the work is on the high reach or the picker. Adding the licences you are missing changes your roster.
  • Working holiday and student visa holders. Short courses, taken close together, that lead to paid work quickly. Photo ID, a USI and enough English to complete the theory are the requirements. We train six days a week.
  • Between jobs or changing careers. Warehousing and logistics hire year round in Brisbane and the entry point is tickets rather than a qualification. One week and $795 is a low-risk way in.

Frequently asked questions

Five to six days in total. The forklift licence is two to three days, order picking is two to three days, the White Card is a single six hour day, and high reach is a two hour practical session. When you purchase, our office sequences the dates for you. We train Monday to Saturday, so the block can be arranged around work or other commitments.

The package is $795. Booked as individual courses at current advertised prices the same four courses total $1,059, so you save $264. The one price covers all training and assessment.

You receive a Statement of Attainment for each accredited course, issued by Queensland Transport and Logistics Training Pty Ltd (RTO 40931). For the forklift and order picker you also receive a High Risk Work candidate assessment summary, which you use to apply and pay for your HRW licence through Workplace Health and Safety Queensland. That licence fee is paid to the regulator and is not included in the package price. Your White Card is issued to you on the day. High reach is non-accredited training and results in a Verification of Competency.

For most of our earthmoving and mining machinery courses, a licence is not required as this type of machinery is used on private land, therefore licence requirements are decided by each civil or mine organisation.

Photo identification, a Unique Student Identifier (free to create at usi.gov.au), closed-in shoes and suitable clothing. Bring personal protective equipment if you have it. Acceptable ID includes a driver licence, passport, Medicare card, adult proof of age card or two credit cards. If you are unsure whether your ID is sufficient, call us before the day rather than turning up and finding out.

No. High reach is non-accredited training resulting in a Verification of Competency rather than a separate high risk work licence class. It exists because employers running narrow aisle and tall racking operations want documented evidence that you have been trained on the machine. Many treat a VOC as sufficient to put you on a high reach. It is included in the package because it is a genuine advantage in a job application, not because it is another licence.

We cannot promise anyone a job. What we can tell you is that this combination covers what appears most frequently in Brisbane warehouse and distribution job ads, and that candidates who hold all of it need no additional training before starting. We also run a jobs board where local employers advertise, and you are welcome to use it.
